LH Metals Achieves Record North American Export with Specialty Steel Shipment
LH Metals has dispatched 34 tons of UNS S32750 P110-grade super duplex steel to the United States via international logistics. This milestone order represents the company's largest North American export contract to date following its Brazilian transaction, setting new foreign trade volume records.
The 25% chromium P110-grade super duplex steel is engineered for critical offshore oil and gas transmission pipelines, demonstrating exceptional corrosion resistance in subsea environments.Production coincided with workforce shortages during pandemic recovery operations. To ensure timely delivery, the company established a dedicated task force that addressed complex manufacturing challenges through rigorous technical analysis.
As an inaugural production initiative, the team overcame unprecedented technical hurdles including:
- Zero-base development of extrusion billet chemical composition
- Precision calibration of extrusion wall deviation
- Optimization of circumferential uniformity in cold-rolling performance
- Determination of optimal cold-rolling deformation ratios
The complete shipment commenced international transit on March 2nd.
